Student finance

Student finance is available only to full-time HBO students aged 18 to 30 (parents receive child benefit for those under 18).

However, you are eligible for the annual public transport pass even if you are under 18.

There is no student finance for part-time study. However, Bachelor’s students in dual study programmes (combining study and work) can apply for student finance.

In addition to student finance, you can also take out a loan from DUO.

If you are over 30, the ‘lifelong learning credit’ is available.

Click here to visit the DUO website .

BTEC Level 3, 4, and 5 students are registered with Pearson in London. This means that you can apply for student finance as an international student (aged 18–30), even though you attend classes at Kronenburgh in the Netherlands.

Check the DUO page on ‘studying abroad’ and apply for student finance in good time (online via DUO or using this form).
