Wie is Kronenburgh

Het wordt vaak gezegd: “Vroeger leerden ze nog wat op school. Nu kunnen ze kunnen nog geen hamer vasthouden”  en “Het bedrijfsleven heeft grote behoefte aan goed opgeleide mensen” en “Nederland is diploma-land: zonder goede diploma’s kom je nergens”.

Kronenburgh is in 2010 opgericht om binnen de regio Haaglanden ook een particuliere onderwijsaanbieder te hebben binnen het beroepsonderwijs. De eigenaren van het Kronenburgh zijn onderwijskundigen en bedrijfskundigen met meer dan 30 jaar ervaring in het opleiden en ontwikkelen van studenten en medewerkers van bedrijven en organisaties. Wij genieten ervan hoe mensen groeien tijdens de opleiding. Als vakman mogen deze studenten ons diploma in ontvangst nemen: onze TROTS.

Gestart met voltijd mbo-onderwijs voor studenten van 16 tot 22 jaar in de ‘oude’ MEAO-studierichtingen (klik voor meer informatie), dus de economische richtingen. Het Kronenburgh MEAO-college maakte meteen een goede start. Al snel kwam daar deeltijd onderwijs bij voor volwassenen; het Kronenburgh Business College was een feit. 

Nederland is handelsnatie bij uitstek. International Business Management en Entrepreneurship is dan ook een logische stap als vervolgopleiding na het mbo. Hier hebben we als Kronenburgh gekozen voor internationaal onderwijs, dus Engelstalig onderwijs, volgens het Engelse internationaal gehanteerde hoger onderwijssysteem. Ook interessant voor expat-studenten in Den Haag. Ook hier weer de mogelijkheid om te studeren in voltijd of deeltijd. Vanuit de Kronenburgh International Business School stromen studenten door naar universiteiten als Brighton en Essex in Engeland en behalen ze hun Bachelor of Science BSc / bachelor of Arts BA degree; klaar voor het behalen van hun MBA (Master of Business Administration). Mooi om te zien hoe onze studenten inmiddels hun eigen bedrijf runnen, het familiebedrijf een toekomst geven en doorstromen naar directieposities binnen het bedrijfsleven.

About Kronenburgh

People often say: “Back in the day, they actually learned something at school. Now, they can’t even hold a hammer,” or “The business world has a great need for well-trained people,” and “In The Netherlands, without the right qualifications, you get nowhere.”

Kronenburgh was founded in 2010 to provide a private vocational education option within the region The Hague. The owners have a background in education and  business administration, with over 30 years of experience in training and developing students as well as employees from various families, companies and organizations. We take great pleasure in watching students grow during their studies. Upon qualifying as skilled professionals, these students receive our diploma—a source of great pride for us.

We started with full-time vocational education (MBO) for students aged 16 to 22, focusing on the ‘traditional’ MEAO study tracks—specifically, business and economics. The Kronenburgh MEAO College got off to a flying start. Part-time education for adults was soon added to the mix, marking the launch of the Kronenburgh Business College.

The Netherlands is a trading nation par excellence. Consequently, a higher education program in International Business Management & Entrepreneurship is a logical next step. At Kronenburgh, we opted for an international approach—delivering the curriculum in English and following the internationally recognized British higher education system. This is also an attractive option for expat students living in The Hague. Here, too, students have the choice between full-time and part-time study. Graduates of the Kronenburgh International Business School often progress to universities such as Brighton and Essex in the UK to earn their Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degrees, fully preparing them to go on and obtain an MBA (Master of Business Administration). It is wonderful to see how our alumni are now running their own businesses, securing the future of family firms, and advancing to executive positions in the corporate world.

Based on their own experience and love for the profession the lecturers will share best practices with you. They see you as a new colleague who will be trained to become the professional the business world is waiting for. So, learning becomes much more interesting supporting the student ambition.

Studenten aan Kronenburgh zijn ambitieus, kiezen voor een versneld traject, tweetalig of volledig Engelstalig onderwijs en zijn bereid een stap extra te zetten om hun toekomstige doelen te bereiken. Onze studenten komen vaak uit ondernemersgezinnen of hebben ouders die in het bedrijfsleven werkzaam zijn. Doordat er een financiële investering verbonden is aan particulier onderwijs, vindt er een ‘natuurlijke’ voorselectie plaats. Bovendien stimuleert deze investering studenten om zich extra in te zetten voor het behalen van hun doelen. Ook wordt er geselecteerd aan de poort op basis van capaciteiten en ambitie.

Students at Kronenburgh are ambitious; they opt for an accelerated track and bilingual of fully English education, and are willing to go the extra mile to achieve their future goals. Our students often come from entrepreneurial families or have parents who work in the corporate sector. Because private education involves a financial investment, a form of ‘natural’ pre-selection occurs. Moreover, this investment encourages students to put in extra effort to reach their objectives. Admissions are also based on a selection process that evaluates aptitude and ambition.

Small-scale, Fast track, Think – Act – Grow

– Kleinschalig: De groepsgrootte bedraagt ​​gemiddeld 15 studenten. Hierdoor kunnen docenten en studenten tijdens de lesdag intensief samenwerken en goede leerresultaten behalen. Dankzij de kleinschalige opzet van ons onderwijs kunnen we de ontwikkeling van alle studenten goed volgen en voelen studenten zich gezien. Docenten en studenten kennen elkaar; er is sprake van sociale verbondenheid.

– Versneld traject: Wij bieden versnelde trajecten aan. Dit realiseren we door meer lesuren en extra begeleiding te bieden en door aandacht te besteden aan de individuele student.

– Think-Act-Grow: ‘Think-Act-Grow’ vormt onze missie. Studenten krijgen gestructureerd onderwijs: van hoorcolleges en werkcolleges in de ochtend tot practica in de middag. Leren door te doen, om zo uit te groeien tot de professional waar het bedrijfsleven op wacht.

– Small-scale: The number of students per group is on avarage 15. In this way lecturers and students can collaborate intensively during the lecture day and achieve good learning results. Thanks to the small-scale structure of our education, we can monitor that all students develop well, and students feel seen. Lecturers and students know each other. There is a social binding.

– Fast Track: We provide fast-track programs. This can be done by offering more teaching hours, giving more guidance, and paying attention to individual students.

– Think-Act-Grow: Think-Act-Grow is our mission. Structured learning is what students get. From Classroom teaching and working colleges in the morning to the practicum in the afternoon. Learning by doing in order to become the professional the business world is waiting for.
