Toelatingseisen / Admission Criteria
De toelatingseisen voor een opleiding bij Kronenburgh verschillen per opleidingsniveau: mbo, BTEC3 en bachelor. Klik naar meer informatie). Als je niet aan de toelatingseisen voldoet, is het altijd een goed idee om de inloopavond te bezoeken. Voor bacheloropleidingen kan de 18+-toets een route naar toelating bieden.

If you do not meet the admission requirements, it is always a good idea to visit the walk-in-evening. For Bachelor’s degree programmes, the 18+ test can provide a route to admission.
Voor MBO4
MBO4 is bedoeld voor Nederlandstalige studenten / MBO4 is only open for Dutch speaking students.
Kronenburgh staat voor kwalitatief hoogwaardig onderwijs. Een diploma krijg je bij ons niet cadeau. Niet iedereen kan bij Kronenburgh een opleiding volgen. Wij selecteren ‘aan de poort’ op vooropleiding, ambitie, cijferlijst en/of werkervaring. Hierdoor heeft ons diploma een marktwaarde wordt een diploma van Kronenburgh door het bedrijfsleven gewaardeerd.
Tot de tweejarige voltijd MBO4-opleiding krijg je toegang met een VMBO Gemengd of Theoretische Leerweg TL / MAVO diploma. Van studenten met een VMBO-kaderdiploma verwachten wij een goede cijferlijst. Heb je havo 3 gedaan (ook wanneer je niet alle vakken hebt gehaald), dan kun je ook instromen in het tweejarige MBO-programma.
Tot de eenjarige voltijd MBO4-opleiding krijg je toegang met een MBO3 diploma. Wanneer je havo 4 hebt gedaan (ook wanneer je niet alle vakken hebt gehaald) krijg je toegang tot het eenjarige programma. Heb je havo 5 gedaan, maar misschien gezakt, is toegang tot het eenjarige programma mogelijk. Ben je op het HBO gestart, maar wil je eerder gaan werken? Ook dan kom je in aanmerking voor het eenjarige programma om een vak te leren.
Tussentijdse instroom
Het voltijdscollegejaar is opgebouwd uit 4 collegeperiodes. Het is mogelijk om lopende het collegejaar in te stromen steeds wanneer er een nieuwe periode start: augustus, oktober, januari en april.
Tot de een- of tweejarige deeltijd MBO4-opleiding kun je toegang krijgen na het volgen van vier jaar voortgezet onderwijs. Wij verzorgen de opleiding op HAVO 4-5 niveau.
Voltijdstudenten zijn in de leeftijd van bijna 16 tot 22 jaar. In deeltijd zijn studenten in de leeftijd van 18 tot ouder (volwassenen onderwijs).
For BTEC3 in Business / pre-university / foundation programme
BTEC3 is open for English speaking students from (1) The Netherlands, (2) Europe (EU / EEA and Switzerland), (3) outside Europe see the extra admission criteria. The required level of English is Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) level A2 (with good grades, so preferably B1) / PTE 51 / IELTS 4.5 (overall band score) preferable Reading and Writing is 5.5 or equivalent. It is also possible to get access incase the student studied in English for at least two years. It is possible to do an English level intake test.
The other pre education requirements are at least 4 years of secondary level 2 / 3 education in the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning (2EQF / 3EQF). Other pre-education can be discussed.
Students from international schools taking the Middle Years Programme Certificate (MYP) can apply.
This programme is only offered in full-time for students in the age of (almost) 17 until 22.
For HBO / bachelors’ students
This program is open to students from (1) the Netherlands and (2) the European Union (EU/EEA and Switzerland). Students from outside Europe can only apply incase a Visa to study is available (Kronenburgh cannot support visa procedures).
In fulltime students are in the age of 17 up to 25 at the start of the programme. The part-time programme is adult education.
The required level of English:
- Dutch education: English in the curriculum at mbo, havo or vwo.
- International Education: Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) level B1 with good marks (we prefer B2) / PTE 51 / IELTS 5.5; Reading and Writing must be at 5.5 / or equivalent.
- Studied in English for last two years.
The requirements prior education:
- Dutch education: MBO4-diploma, HAVO-diploma of overgangsbewijs VWO4>5 / overgangsbewijs VWO 5>6 / VWO-diploma,
- International education: BTEC Level 3 (extended) diploma (in Business) / Career Path CP-students, GCE Advanced Level profile students / Other related UK Level 3 qualifications / European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong learning (EQF): level 4 EQF / GED-diploma / An international equivalent of the above.
If the admission requirements are not met, but it is expected that the program will still be successfully completed, there is the option of making the Kronenburgh 18+ test (IQ and/or English level test).
18+ test
The 18+ admission test consists of a capacity test and an English language test. It is not mandatory to do both parts if you can provide evidence that you are already at the right level for one part (ability test or English).
You can send the registration form to info@ibs-kronenburgh.nl. You will then receive an invoice. As soon as the payment has been made, the purchase can be scheduled. Both tests can be taken in one half-day in our college building (or online in case you are living abroad).
Capacity test
We use the following capability test: Differential Aptitude Test (DAT) Next Generation. The test consists of three parts: figure series, number series and analogies. These three components together provide insight into a person’s general intelligence. Getting the three scores together in one’s abilities to acquire at the desired level. The 3 parts of the DAT are adaptive. This means that the test will adapt to your level. Your future score will depend on the more difficult questions you have answered.
We advise you to prepare well in advance and therefore to delve into the type of questions.
The test takes about 1.5 hours to complete.
We charge € 125,- for participation in the capacity test.
English language test
The English language test focuses on the parts: reading, listening, writing and speaking. The purpose of the test is to determine your level of English. You must have at least B1 at the start of the Bachelor’s program, but preferably you have level B2 of higher.
We charge € 99,- for participation in the English Language test. The test takes approximately 1 hour.
